Starting the summer in style, the award winning Isle of Wight Festival takes place in June every year in the town of Newport and is steeped in history and recognised around the world for its amazing line-up, mixing legendary artists with the hottest up and coming acts.
The Festival is famed for its heritage and as the UK’s first major music event of the summer; it gives festival goers a line up to love!

For entrants, enjoy the scenic pleasures of the Isle of Wight with a 100km or 55km clockwise route. Entry is FREE, although a donation is welcomed.

Take part in this year’s Isle of Wight walking festival, which includes the iconic Walk the Wight on Sunday May the 11th. 26-years after it first launched, the multi-award-winning IW Walking Festival remains one of the UK’s most loved and largest walking festivals, with routes and distances to suit all abilities.
Most walks are FREE, with a donation welcomed. Join thousands of others in exploring the beautiful Island by foot, witnessing it all, from lusciously green beauty spots, to sprawling sandy beaches and white cliff tops.
Ryde-A-Bus, as the name suggests, takes place in Ryde, a short walk from our hotel’s doors on Saturday and Sunday, 17th and 18th of May.
Travel on a variety of FREE vintage bus services from Ryde to selected destinations and attractions across The Island. Don’t forget to the visit the FREE entry bus museum, also in Ryde, to enhance your weekend experience.
The isle of Wight running Festival has become one of the biggest sporting events on the Island and a favourite of runners from all over the South of England.
Over a week, Sunday 1st - Sunday 8th of June, athletes of all levels can choose from circular cross-country routes, in the breath-takingly beautiful west Wight. Distances start at 5km, going all the way up to a half marathon, passing by the iconic Needles landmark.

On Saturday morning the celebration begins with a traditional parade in Ryde. The parade will go down Queens Road, West Street, Cross Street, Union Street and end at the Esplanade, right next to the Acsensos Community Village the afternoon and evening entertainment will take place.
